I recently signed up to SharePoint Online, with that im hoping to do a few blog posts here and there about setting up Power User / No-code apps using things like Azure SQL Databases, LightSwitch, Access and other SharePoint Apps.

To start with let’s get the basics out the way. How do you connect SharePoint Designer 2013 to SharePoint Online (This is obviously likely to change with the rapid movement of the Microsoft cloud offers)

Log into your SharePoint Online and click the Admin button

In the drop down select SharePoint

This will open the Site Collections page, Copy the link at the top of the Site Collections section.

Now open SharePoint Designer 2013 -> File -> Sites -> Open Site

In the new Window Copy the hyperlink and select Open

There we have it. Your connected!
